Rudbeckia-Sitting Pretty. One thing I am going to miss as summer comes to an end, is walking through my flower gardens and watching the birds, bees and butterflies. My rudbeckia is one of their favorite plants and also mine. I have several varities. I noticed this year the the garden I started these plants had very few Rubeckia, they were now popping up in abundance in an adjacent garden. These plants are biennial so they grow new plants from the seeds they sow. I gathered up some seeds from the plants and scattered in the original garden, hopefully they will grow next year and the garden will be rejuenvenated.

VENICE-GRAND CANAL TRAFFIC. A trip to Venice, Italy almost always warrants a cruise around the canals in a Gondola. However, we did not do this and apparently other tourist followed suit. It is a little on the expensive side and we are not the ones to get caught up in the tourist traps. We chose to ride the water taxis which takes you to all the sites plus for a little extra to differen islands. We went to Burano and Maurano two very interesting excursions from Venice. I addded some textures and overlays to the print to give it less of a photo look. Venice is actually made up of 118 small islands which are connected by canals and bridges.

Hummingbird-Another visit to the Gardens This little guy was a frequent visitor to my backyard gardens. I have many Cardinal plants (lobelia) planted in various gardens at our house. The hummingbirds love them! I would spend hours sitting outside waiting for these little guys to come around, sometimes I would get lucky and I would not have to wait too long. Other times, I would leave my spot, turn around as I am walking away, only to see a couple flying around the gardens. They are very challenging to photograph.

CAYMAN ISLANDS-PIER AT RUM POINT

CAYMAN ISLANDS-PIER AT RUM POINT was captured while on a trip to the Cayman Islands. Rum Point is a fun place to visit, great food, snorkeling, water sports or just lounging on one of the many chaise lounges or hammocks. It is located on the North side of the island and is about an hour drive from 7 mile beach.
